At Heartland, we aim to cater special events to the person doing the celebrating! Our Humane Education Assistant, Samantha, will be there on the day of your special event to ensure everyone has the best possible experience.
Pricing for Sanctuary Celebrations depends on the total number of guests in the party (including parents of children). The following are base prices which do not include any optional add-ons, which are listed below.
14 Guests or Less: $170 | 15 – 17 Guests: $200 | 18 – 20 Guests: $275
Please note that groups over 20 require prior approval as additional staff will be needed.
Offered at no additional charge (weather permitting). A nature walk will take time out of your main barn tour.
Chop up fruits and veggies for our rescued residents’ meals! Offered at no additional cost, this will take time out of your main barn tour. Please note this add-on doesn’t include feeding our residents, but you will be their personal chef! 🙂
Craft/enrichment activity is offered for an additional $2 per participant. This will also add 15 additional minutes to your tour time.
Our water balloons, splash pad and sprinkler can be set up for an additional $30 (30 minutes will be added to your time slot).
Yes, we have all-gender, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms onsite for everyone to use!
We have indoor and outdoor options for setting up depending on the weather. We have folding tables, picnic tables and standard tables available. We also have a grass area which is great for kids to run and play. Our indoor spaces are smaller but suitable for a group of up to 20.
Yes, we can store a cake or a few cold items if needed. Our fridges are also used to store staff and volunteer meals and produce for our rescued residents, so keep in mind that space is limited.
Absolutely! You are welcome to arrive 30 minutes prior to your booking time to set up. Please ensure to let us know you’ll be arriving early so that we can plan accordingly.
We understand that sometimes disruptions occur that are out of our control. We allow a maximum of 15 minutes late to still be able to host the event as planned. However, anything surpassing 15 minutes will incur a charge if you want to further extend your time to have the full experience. Information regarding this charge can be found in our Terms and Conditions document.
Conditions at the barn are sometimes muddy. Wear appropriate (close-toed) shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants are best. You may want to bring along a filled water bottle for hot days.
