Pico

Pico

Bantam Rooster
Male
Arrived: 2018-02-17
Personality

Pico has a big personality in his petite frame. He also has a very loud crow! Pico can be very nervous and skittish around people, so we be sure to give him his space.

Favorites

Pico loves doing chicken things on his own with little human interference. He loves scratching in the straw, searching for snacks, and perching in high spots.

About Pico

Pico was rescued from an annual event that's held every winter in Wisconsin. Part of this event is a “Free Chicken Fly” which consists of throwing many chickens, one or two at a time, up in the air from a roof. Crowds scramble to grab the birds as they fall to the ground. Pico was one of the chickens thrown from the roof at this event in 2018 and was thankfully rescued by a Heartland volunteer.
