About Cinder

Cinder was one of dozens of animals Heartland rescued after their owner was evicted from their farm property. Cinder was limping when she was rescued, and was taken to the vet to be evaluated shortly after arriving at HFS. X-rays revealed an unusual degradation at the top of her femur, which was probably the result of an old fracture. Cinder recently had leg surgery to remove the bone-on-bone fragments that were causing her pain. She's already healed and is getting around great! She's also working on re-growing some of her feathers after being over-mated by roosters she was living with.
