Visit our Sanctuary

Join us for a public or private tour of Heartland to learn more about the work we do, meet our rescued residents and experience the magic of sanctuary.

Public tours

Join us for a sneak peek of our new sanctuary in Stoughton! Now that all of our animals are here, we can’t wait to show you around. And while there is still so much work to do, you can be among the first to visit our rescued residents in their new home.

Public tours of the sanctuary are offered on Saturday afternoons. The first tour starts at 1 pm, and a second tour may be added at 2:30 if the first fills up. Public tours are one hour long and are for ages 5 and up. The fee is $15/person and all guests (including kids 5 and older) must be registered one at a time. During the months of January – April, November and December, our public tour fee is $12/person.

All guests must sign our visitor waiver before arriving at the sanctuary (parents sign on behalf of their children). Find the waiver here.

Please note that public tours are 60 minutes long and involve a lot of walking, talking and manure. 🙂 We want everyone to have a fun, enjoyable and safe experience while visiting the sanctuary, and we’ve found that children do best with appropriate adult support.

Private tours

Heartland Farm Sanctuary’s private tours give you a behind-the-scenes look at sanctuary life. Private tours are 90 minutes long, which gives you extra time to spend with your favorite rescued residents and allows access to certain animal areas not open on public tours. To schedule your private tour, please email VisitUs@HeartlandFarmSanctuary.org with a few dates/times that would work for your tour group. Our private tour fees are dependent on the number of people in your party, and the time of year you schedule your tour. Fees are as follows:

  • Groups of 1-2 = $125
  • Groups of 3-5 = $150
  • Groups of 6-10 = $175
