Toby the steer came to Heartland as a month-old calf. Animal caretakers bottle fed Toby and got him accustomed to being around people at a young age. Toby is now a big boy at almost 800 pounds and still enjoys head rubs and all of the attention he can get. His nickname in the beginning was “baby cow,” and he knows that name very well and will come when called.
Confident and kind.
Loves hanging out with his cow friends at his foster home in New Glarus, munching on fresh grass, napping in the sun, and ruling his pasture.
