Lily is approximately five years old and came to us from a tough situation. She was neglected, only fed dog food, and forced to eat snow to get water. Lily was morbidly obese when she came to Heartland, so we immediately made sure that she was getting a nutritious diet and lots of love. We discovered that because of her obesity she is now blind, so we make sure to let her know each time we enter her stall. Lily was nervous at first but now she loves scratches behind her ears, and being whispered sweet nothings by the volunteers and staff. Lily has learned to eat veggies but especially loves her specially-formulated mini pig feed! Recently, Lily has even ventured out of her stall and has been able to enjoy fresh air and warm sunshine.
I am very kind and gentle, despite my health problems.
I love to have my ears rubbed and cuddle with my blankets.
