Heartland Farm Sanctuary is currently recruiting adults 18 and older who support our mission, to provide care for farm animals in need, nurture people through the human-animal bond, and foster respect and kindness toward animals and each other, to participate in our volunteer program.

All potential volunteers must submit a completed application and attend a Volunteer Orientation prior to placement. We also require that all volunteers participate in position specific training as part of their work experience. If you support our mission and are willing to put forth the time to be trained, we encourage you to complete this application. The information submitted on this form will help us to find the most satisfying, rewarding, and appropriate position for you.

Volunteer Application Agreement
I certify that the statements made in this volunteer application are true and have been given voluntarily and that I am physically capable of participating in volunteer activities at Heartland Farm Sanctuary. I understand that this information may be disclosed to any party with legal and proper interest, including for such purposes as criminal background checks, and I release the agency from any liability whatsoever for supplying such information. I also understand that I will not be paid for my services as a volunteer. In consideration of Heartland Farm Sanctuary accepting my application for participation in its programs, I agree to release and hold harmless Heartland Farm Sanctuary from and against any and all loss, damage, claims, liability, costs and expenses of any nature whatsoever, including without limitation, attorney’s fees and disbursements, arising from or occasioned by my participation in Heartland Farm Sanctuary programs. I understand there are certain risks inherent in handling animals and I accept these risks. I agree that Heartland Farm Sanctuary may photograph my participation in this program and I hereby release any such photographs to Heartland Farm Sanctuary for use in its programs, publications and purpose. I agree to volunteer at Heartland Farm Sanctuary for a minimum of 6 months. I agree to represent Heartland in a positive manner consistent with its mission and principles.
