“Vino and Vittles,” an evening of wine, Mediterranean cuisine, bluegrass music and local art for purchase is taking place on Wednesday, November 14, from 6-9 pm at Bunky’s Café in Madison. All proceeds benefit Heartland Farm Sanctuary, Wisconsin’s only farm animal dedicated rescue and shelter.
“We’re holding this event so that we can buy feed hay for our animals this winter. Due to the summer drought, the cost of our hay has more than doubled from last year,” said Dana Barre, Executive Director of Heartland Farm Sanctuary.
This casual, drop-in event includes an unguided wine tasting of six different varietals, live music by local bluegrass group Off the Porch, Mediterranean cuisine buffet provided by Bunky’s Café, and a wide variety of art for purchase crafted by local vendors. Additionally, several of Heartland Farm Sanctuary’s friendly animals will be on site to greet guests during the first hour of the event.
